Love for London and Penpals!
I live in London. However, I am not fortunate enough to be living in the central (the pretty part) of London to experience the overwhelming London beauty. I do have a lot of London adventures to reconnect and to really appreciate the pretty city that I live in.
Yesterday was another day for London adventures for me and so was connecting with my penpal which I will talk about later on.
There are a few pretty places you can go to see the view and the pretty streets and other touristy things but my most favourite is rooftops at night when all the lights are on and it looks as if the city is decorated in fairy lights and it is just so pretty, Also I love that you get a lot of wind on the rooftops (depending how high you are) and it really helps you to lose yourself in the moment. One of my favorite places to go, and it doesn't matter how many times I go there I always love it as much and sometimes even more than before, it's the Madison's view to St. Paul's cathedral. It is at St. Paul's underground station in One Exchange shopping center, you can get to the 6th floor, there is a bar and (like I would like to call) a "posh" club and opposite there is this a big space that overlooks the whole London, well kind of.
I was born in a center of Europe and until maybe a year ago I have never heard of pen-pals. One of my really good friends told me about it but she feared that I might judge her for it when in fact I though it was the most awesome idea ever. I was always interested to know how people live on the other side of the world and what's different and what's not. So I created an account in My pen-pal world and start talking to a few people. I only had couple of pen-pals that I would talk to. We would talk over emails and to me it was so weird because I never talk to people over emails only to message teachers but then I don't really have teachers numbers so I have to communicate somehow.
There were a few nice people and a lot of creepy people but I would assume you'd always get them on such social sites. I also met this German girl who used to write me the loooooongest emails and I used to get so excited for them and it used to take me over an hour to reply but these emails and it made me so happy. We could talk about anything and I literally mean anything. So finally she moved to London to go to Uni here and we finally met up and it was the best time of all. We had such interesting conversations, we even managed to have a few private jokes and it was the best evening.
And on that note I advise or a wish to everyone to go and find different people and friend them, you don't have to share your deepest secrets but enjoy and socialize because you could meet such incredible people and it would make you glad for the rest of your life.
(Here's a few snaps with her)
Yours Izabele
xoxo
