Ultra Cleansing Pads

I have heard about these Cleansing Pads from Caroline Hirons. If you don't know who she is I recommend you to check her out here. She is a skin care specialist and she always talks about really good skincare and how to use it and why. I have tried Nip+ Fab Cleanings Pads and they were cleansing but I wanted more from them. Now I am about half way though Clearasil and I must say I love love love it. 

It says that it reduces oil & shine - I don't know maybe a little but then again I don't have oily skin and it certainly doesn't dry mine out. 

Unblocks Pores - well I never believe this statement, it is exfoliating so it maybe cleans them out. I suppose unblocking is a better word for cleaning. 

Evens skin tone - ah I doubt that. 

Removes dirt and Exfoliates which is essentially the same as unblocking pores. 

Yes it is exfoliating and I love that because it is not messy. You take a pad, I think one side is a little sharper than the other and you exfoliate. I always wash my face after using this or any cleansing product to be honest, I just don't like them on my skin. 

This smells strongly of spirit. It smells so strong it will make your eyes water. It has salicylic and citric acids that are good for killing bacterial so trust me your face will feel super clean. 

It cost £5.99 and you'll find 65 pads in a tub, which I think it is a good value for money.

Since I started using cleansing pads I noticed that my spots had a little chill. They do come on but not as often or as many as I used to have. They also heal fast. 

I really like the fact that it is exfoliating as I don't need a separate exfoliating product and it is softer than some exfoliating products. You also just need one pad to do your whole face. I usually do mine after I had full face of make up, before I go to bed. I'd love to go to be with really cleans skin that's the only reason why I use it at night. On the days I don't wear make up I tend to use face wash and call it a day.

Pure & Natural

Nivea can be hit and miss. By miss I don't mean completely inadequate, I mean - average. Some Nivea products can be great and even amazing, real value for the money but sometimes you just feel 'meh' about it. 

Long story short I actually like this cream for the time I used it. I probably not gonna buy it again as there are plenty of moisturisers that does what this does. However, it did leave a good memory. I was very strange with the smell of this product. I liked the smell of it during the day but not before bed. I usually used this as my night moisturiser. In fact this moisturiser changed my mind about night creams. I was always the girl that didn't want to go to bed with make up or a greasy face from the moisturiser, now I love the greasy face stage. I feel like I am giving some love to my face because I am letting all the grease to sink in during the night. It also feels like beauty sleep. 

The other reason why I am excited about Nivea is because it so so easy to find in stores and they have reasonable prices. This moisturiser you can find practically everywhere and it is about £6 but they always put it on some sort of a deal.

I am not super impressed with this moisturiser but it is in my good graces. If you are looking for something affordable and simple I highly recommend checking out Nivea range. It has so many different types of moisturisers I can promise you'll find something that is just for you.

Spray & Go

My friend gave me this Vaseline Spray & Go moisturiser. I was really skeptical about it. I haven't used anything from Vaseline besides the lip balm. 

I was surprised with this. It is so good and so useful. You just spray it and spread it. No grease no white marks that you usually get from creams. It does absorb really quick. It has quite a fresh smell but it is super faint and disappears as soon as you put it on yourself. 

I highly recommend this especially for the summer. It is so easy to use and it actually works. It keeps your skin moisturised or course not for a week but it is so easy to use that I always reach for it after shower and I am super lazy with the whole moisturising your body thing. It costs about £5 and you can find it everywhere: superdrug, boots, supermarkets, internet. I really really like it. I wanna try more spray moisturisers now.

My Make-up Journey

Hey, here is another chatty blog post. I really wanted to share my make up story and I know that there might be a lot of people who are just starting or really trying to find yourself. And well, make up is a big part of my life. 

When I was very little lets say 2 or 3, my mum and aunt used to sell beauty products - representatives. I think it was 'Mary Kay' and 'Oriflame'. Being a representative meant you have a lot of samples and products in general. In our flat we had one extra room where my parents made a meeting room where my mum kept all her beauty products to show to the people . I always hear stories how I used to sneak into that room and apply everything on my face. Apparently I was so good at one point that my mum wouldn't have even noticed the mascara if I hadn't had a little black dot on my cheek. Of course I was a little bit older there, maybe 4. 

Fast forward, when I was about 12 all my girl friends started to wear make up and of course I needed make up too. I lived with my grandparents, I didn't have my mum beauty bag to use, I had to buy things myself. Somehow I managed to save up some money on foundation, mascara, black eye pencil and a lip gloss. Literally everything I had was just that. That didn't mean that I was allowed or that my parents gifted make up for Christmas or birthdays. I had to get everything myself. 

I have no memory of what brands I used back in the day but what I do remember is that my foundation was too orange and thank God I didn't do anything stupid with my make up like crazy colour eyeshadows or pencil eyes (I mean black pencil all around my eyes.) 

Then became a representative of 'Oriflame' so I got to have fancier mascaras and foundations and some eyeshadows but I kept everything natural. Thank you God!

I was really into rock back then and I really wanted to look cool with black pencil but I had really curly hair and I was on the chubby side so whatever I did, I looked like a clown. 

I think sometime after wearing full face of make up I ended up being natural and a few months after I came to live in London so I really stayed off make up. Mainly because I didn't have anything and I was scared to use my mums. 

Coming to London and walking into year 10 in a mixed school meant that all girls are very pretty beings with full face of make up and uniform that doesn't even look like uniform anymore. I had to change something. 

I went to boots and bought black eye pencil, a clear lip gloss and a foundation all form natural collection. Mainly because they were cheap. I found a thin brush and I used to put pencil as if it was my eyeliner on my top my lashline and some mascara. I sometimes used foundation but rarely, because it was cheap it didn't do much and back in the day I didn't understand that less is more. 

I ended up wearing this everyday for the next two years and it was completely fine because it suited me and I didn't look orange or weird. No offence. 

When I finished school I went back to only wearing mascara and occasionally wearing eyeliner. By then I'd have a little bit more money so I could afford a proper mascara and eyeliner, I remember that I was hooked on l'oreal. I think I also invested in a cheap bronzer and a few lipglosses, nothing major. 

When I started college I would still wear as little make up but starting college meant I would get bursary so when I got my first payment which was backdated a few months, so I went on a make up spree. Not gonna lie I spend about £200 in a few weeks. 

I got everything: lipsticks, powders, eyeshadow palettes, eye products. 

Because I have build a big base and also the college years where the years I didn't use foundation I had a few gaps to fill to really bring my collection to a very good standard. 

When I was flying back home I went to MAC counter and picked up a foundation, highlighter and a lipstick. I was super happy with these and I continue to use them to this day. Especially the highlighter. 

In my third year of college I was eager to try a lot of new products thats when I discovered love for bright lipsticks and luxurious products.
Now I notice that I only spend money on things that I really like or want. 

If you are as in love with make up as I am and you want more and more things, they will come to you. I recommend to build a really strong base and then work your way up. Trust me once you tried something that is super good you wouldn't want to come down for the average things. There is no point in saving up expensive product as it will dry or fade away and you'll have to bin it without any proper use. Just have patience.

Christmasy Nails

The last product from December Glossybox is the most Christmasy I think. It is a Collection Long Lasting Nail Effect in colour Strawberry Gold. I don't think it is strawberry it is more of a purpuly colour with lots and lots of gold fine glitter. The price of this nail polish is £2.99 and it is actually really long-er lasting than most nail polishes. 

I like as it dries quite quickly and in dries in a thin layer of nail polish so it doesn't feel like you have a full coat of gel on your nails. I don't know why but the colour of this polish to me is super Christmasy so I loved wearing it before Christmas and for New Year. 

It is really a great nail polish and I would really recommend Collection for nail polishes or just any make up from that brand.

Bio-cellulose Facial Mask

The additional product to this special Glossybox was bio-cellulose facial mask.

I love trying new masks and I particular like the cloth masks. They are a lot easier to apply and discard and they don't dry out on your face. They have a hydrating and brightening job, you can wear these masks for longer. I like to put it on and then watch a TV series or movie or just browse the internet. Of course I have nothing against all the other masks if your skin needs a little kick they are really good too but I think that cloth mask is for lazy people, which is why I like them so much. 

When I received this mask I was very excited to try it out, in fact I didn't touch it for a month or so because I was saving it for a special day. 

A few days ago that special day finally had come. I read on the packaging that it is infused with a full 30ml bottle of serum, that is crazy. When you are feeling the packet you can totally feel how much of product is inside. The mask comes in two parts or three shall I say. There are two outer layers protecting the bio-cellular mask which is the one you put in your face. The protecting layers aren't cloth like which I think could be very useful as you can have three mask in one, but they are paper texture and they feel really rough although they are soaking with serum. I am a little sad to waste all that serum to be completely honest with you.

The second skin layer that goes on your face is the nicest thing I ever had on my face. It completely sticks to your skin and it is like cloudy clear colour and it makes you look a little scary. It is cut out really well so every inch of your skin is covered. I was a little concerned as the eye area wasn't too big so one of the sides of the mask was touching the bottom of my eyes and I was a little bit worried that some of product might get into my eye but alas it didn't.

It says to keep it for 20-25 minutes which I loved as I can enjoy it more although I ended up leaving it for 45 minutes. I had a few dried patches of the mask that then stuck to my face but I am not complaining. 

It made my skin super soft and loved. I would say it did brighten a little. It is as if it corrected my face colour and it made my face looked more refreshed for a few days after I used the mask. 

The price ranges from £8.50 (there a quite a few different ones) which is a lot for a mask but it is such a good mask I wanna say it is worth the price. 

Now I am left with quite a lot of product in the packet which I kept, but the whole point of these masks is that the cloth helps the serum to sink into the skin. I will still try to use the serum even without the mask.

I think this mask would be really good for people with complicated skin and for those who get a lot of redness it is literally a spa treatment for your face.

So Susan Highlighter

This product was one of my least favourite from Golssybox. Not that there is something horribly wrong with it, it does what a highlighter is suppose to do, I am just not excited for it. 

I am becoming a fan of compressed powder highlighters, I find them a lot easier to apply and blend in. I notice that cream highlighters are stronger but they are so hard to blend in and once you do you loose half of the product so what is the point. 

I find it especially hard to work with products such a sticks rather than original circle packaging with a cream highlighter inside. Purely because you will use your fingers or a brush to apply the product. 

This highlighter is in a very pretty cream colour. It doesn't have gold shimmer I'd say it is more white/light pink shimmer which is really nice for young girls or very simple make up look. 

It sets nicely but it is movable after it sets and it is just a pretty highlighter. 

I also really like the shape of the pen it makes it easier to reach for corners such as brow arch or inside your eye. 

It's price is £15 for 1.8g of product and it is 100% cruelty free.

Golden Skin Roll-On

One of my favourite products from a Glossybox is this roll- on under eye gel. I have never heard of a brand Être belle but I have high hopes for it now. I was never into roll-on gel for your eyes but seriously you need to try it if you haven't. The metal ball is so cold and it is refreshing under your eyes. It is like giving water to a fish that has been on the shore for far too long. 

The actual gel is quite nice too, it smells quite luxurious but the smell is faint. It feels very moisturising without it being greasy. It also has golden glitter but not too much of it, you can't even see it and it doesn't tan your skin like I thought it would once I read the title. 

It relieves stress from under eyes and you can use it both day and night. The gel soothes and smoothes and makes you feel refreshed and honestly it does do that. I didn't believe it at first I just like the cooling sensation but when I looked back in the mirror a few minutes after I put it on I realised that it made me look more awake.

You can get it online for 19.95 euro which should be about £16-17. 

I highly recommend this products on tired eyes and someone who get eye bags or dark circles or anyone who's eyes get super tired during the day, you will not regret it.

Talika Photo-Moisturiser

This is my first thing I tried from my GlossyBox and it is the only one I use daily. It says that it is suppose to react to light to lock in moisture into your skin. I am not sure if it does that but I do know that it gives my skin some love and I just like it. It feels super nice on your skin once you put on, it is gel like texture so you don't need a lot of it. It doesn't pull your skin or anything it is just a very nice everyday moisturiser. Talika Photo-Hydra doesn't leave your skin greasy or oil either which is what I love the best on those no make up days.

The price of this product is £27 for a 30ml tub.

I highly recommend this is you are looking for something nice on your skin.

Beauty Box

I have known about Beauty Boxes even before they were IT but I never managed to get one.The first one I ever discovered was Glossybox. I have heard many good things about it. It uses really nice products and some of them are full size. 

You can get different subscription but it usually cost £10 + p&p (which is £3.95) per box. You can order yours here. 

You get a few leaflets in this. I had Graze box voucher, a thank you card from Glossybox and a card where all the products are listed and how to use them and their full size prices. 

I will be doing 5 separate blog posts talking about the products in this box.

All I say now is that I am extremely happy with this box and I also think this would make a great gift for your beauty lover friends.
