Time managment

Trying to juggle two jobs and a university with loads of deadlines and practising schedules as well as horrible London transport is hard. Babysitting gives me time to update thing like my blogs or twig little bits of my assignments but it doesn't give enough time to really concentrate on my work.
To do assignments on the go is hard too. If I got to go to uni or my other work I spend about 3 to 5 hours just travelling. Thank God that some of my assignments are very personal and I can write them up whilst I am travelling. However, some assignations require a lot of research or a piano which I cannot do on the go. I would also need to carry around things like laptop and really heavy books with me and I don't wanna take into my work as I don't work at the office and wouldn't have anywhere safe to keep them. What I am hinting here is that you have to plan every minute of every hour of your day.
If you need to do a lot of work and you just cannot find the time you have to analyse your time and make some changes.
I love writing on the trains. I feel like the movement of the train makes my thoughts flow faster. I know some people get travel sickness and that is absolutely fine, well being sick isn't but it is okay if you can't use your time on the go to write a few things up. I'd say if you have a travel sickness think a lot about your work or how you could do this job or the other. Some of these thoughts you will forget but other thoughts you might remember especially if you working on projects where you have to be creative. Take whatever is around you into your creativity zone. A woman's shirt might give you an idea of what background to use for you art work, well you catch my drift.
I also like to read on the trains too. If I am super desperate for having some me time and fell like I got to read something I would do it on the train. If I have to read a book for my uni assignment I might also read the book on the train and mark little important bits that I might need. This way I feel like I am not waisting any time because when you have to sit for 50 minutes in one spot doing nothing you start to feel as if you have 12 hours in a day instead of 24.
I think time keeping has become really hard as we have our phones and internet is everywhere we go and we don't notice that we just scrolled through the entire pintrest feed which took us 30 minutes.
My advice is that you should really think about your time, make notes on you calender. You will always have time to be on the internet or your phone just don't make you phone a priority.
Another piece of advise is to start right now. If you have any major things to do, manage the time of your day when you are working on it. When you give yourself a specific time you can finish your jobs in time as well as have some time for yourself. Just kick yourself in a butt and do it!
Once you figure out how to manage your time what little things you can include in hours where you not doing anything or doing very little you will be a lot happier.
It will make it look as if you have longer days and you will stress less. You can go to bed at a normal time and you will have everything under control.

Tell me how you manage your time? how do you cope?

Spending Money

If you are looking for an advice how to save money you can leave right now as it is not what this post is going to be about.
Lately I find myself splashing money to left and right and by that I mean on the things I want or need. Half of the stuff I want is expensive but this is okay and I am going to tell you why this is okay.
We live in the moment we call 'now'. If you have money to spend on things why not use it now. Yes I am all up for saving and I am too saving for a few things myself but do not think about tomorrow, when tomorrow isn't here. Again I don't mean and use all of your assets on Gucci bag - no. However, if you saw shoes somewhere that you really like and you can afford it (this means you'll still have some money left on the food and rent for a few days/weeks) go ahead. It is really nice to treat yourself to some clothes or make up or whatever you have your eye set on. It feels super amazing so why not?
You only get one life and in that life all your days lived will not come back. So why not to live your life to its full. The money will come and go, do not be driven by it. It is just materialistic thing that we make such a big deal out of. Don't make money your priority over your happiness and well-being.

Education

Surviving education

I myself go to university at the moment and I am in my second year. Before that I have attended two colleges doing two different subjects and of course before that there was the school. I feel like I have some advice to share that you probably have heard so many times but I will try to explain in detail how they work. It is not jut empty words.
Today I was walking to the bus stop to go to my first lecture of the year and it was raining and was still quite dark. It reminded of the times when I used to go to school and I had no choice of not going because school was a must. It inspired me to write this post.
Sometimes on my way to school it used to be sunny and warm, sometimes it used to rain or be chilly. I think all the weather conditions are nice we just complain so much about the rain or the heat which doesn't allow us to appreciate the weather. There is always that smell after rain in the summer which is unpleasantly pleasant or winter has a smell and these pleasantries we have to treasure but instead we hate them. I am no different from you there but I do have moments of awe. Remembering moments like that make you smile and remember the old times which instantly lifts your mood and you start looking forward to your day. I had one of these mornings.
Back to the topic!
I was quite lucky to have a good brain that remembers and gets things easily so I didn't need to study too hard. However, many of my friends weren't the same as me. I used to help them a lot and to me it did seem weird how some people don't understand certain things. Some people need explanations, some practise. I suppose everyone is dealing with education differently as it is very personal thing. Everyone learns differently and our brains work differently or more like store the information differently. I only understood it after I started teaching little kids.Never judge people for how they learn because you wouldn't want to be judged for the same reason.
My first advice would be don't question. Just don't, if you have been shown a way just stick with it you will get it one day but if you haven't got it straight away then you need a little practise to understand what is what. If you question you will just create a chaos inside your head and you will never get the finish line because question upon question and bam we are in a green field where nothing makes sense anymore and we can't see a thing. I feel like this is also a general life advice.
First of all - relax. When you are relaxed and not stressing the information will come to you. Having said that I don't mean don't pay any attention to the lessons and just have fun with your friends. Having fun also relaxes you but you have to be your own judge of what is what and when it is enough.
Another advice is JUST DO IT. Be the evil parent that says "You are not going anywhere until you finish it." It is very hard and I struggle with it but you will feel soooooo good for pushing yourself. You will feel like you can concur the world with your power. You will also finish before everyone so you can make all of your friends jealous.
Explanation: do it before the last day. I know this is what everyone says but it works so good. I will explain why. I give myself let's say a week to write a 5 paragraph essay. I aim to write 2 paragraphs a day which is not a lot at all. If you do the maths that is only 3 days of work out of possible 7. Some days I will not feel like doing anything, some days I will do more or some days I will write 1 paragraph. That is okay because I have some time to procrastinate and I would still finish it on time. Of course if you have more work you'll take more possible days to finish. If I follow my rules I usually finish a few days before and that is when everyone is starting doing theirs and trust me to be able to say of I have finished to your friends and having nothing to worry about is the best feeling ever. Try it!
Sometimes I would struggle to finish, let's say I'd have 2 lines to write but I cannot be bothered, that is when my evil parent came out. I just push myself - no mercy. God it is hard but so so worth it.
To make it easier to push yourself I sometimes treat myself. Not to food but to things. Maybe there is a lipstick that I like or bag, shoes. If I finish my work early I can treat myself which motivates me to do my work and I also get things that I desire.
Start the day with a good mood, think happy thoughts and exciting experiences you might be doing soon. Starting a day with a smile makes the day go quicker and it will make you happier.
Also just have faith in yourself. Never think about yourself as not worthy or stupid because if I can do it so can you.
