A face worth a million

This one is new foundation from Bourjois. Actually when I saw it I thought it's going to be a BB cream as it looks like a BB cream but it' a full on foundation. I don't mean full coverage btw.

It gives you antipollution screen, SPF30 and radiance boosting pigments.  

Well I can't speak about antipollution or SPF30 as it is the things we don't see with naked eye but it is lovely on the skin and it has a really nice smell. About those radiance boosting pigments, to me it sounds that it should make you look glowy which it does complete opposite to me. It sets quite matte. 

After I apply my base I usually go and do the eyes. After about 10 minutes after the application this foundation changes into this lovely young and gorgeous skin and it makes me look like 10 year old in terms of skin. I know I am young and I cannot complain but honestly my skin looks like baby skin. Other people might think that it looks like you are wearing loads when in fact you are wearing hardly anything. It photographs beautifully. 

The only down side to this is that has a red undertone which is wrong for me. Here is where baking comes in. If you never seen or heard of baking it is basically when you pat way to much powder to let the liquid products react with the dry products on your warm skin. You would apply a lot of powder and leave it there for about 5 to 10 minutes. I use it on all the points I want to highlight or lift. As the powder is light in colour the under eyes or under the corrector (that's where I use it to really sculpt the face) or on you chin looks so much lighter. Baking also keeps the make up in place for a little bit longer. When the time is up I just use a brush everything off with face. 

I use translucent powder from Marks & Spencer. I got it years ago and I doubt you'll find it as it is limited edition but any powder would do. 

Back to City Radiance, it costs £9.99 and you can find it everywhere. It comes in 6 shades, mine is in 01Ivory Rose. I love the squeezy tube because you can really use up all of your product without any waste.

Foundation

Bare Minerals. 

Recently I am going on about autumn and cold months and lipsticks I wanna wear so this post is about foundation. As I have quite good skin I tend to stay away from foundations during the summer. Yes, of course I wear them occasionally but not often. However, now that it is chilly outside and you'd want your face to stay protected foundation is a path you could take. 

I have a few of my favorites but I hate shopping for foundations because they never suit me, it's not my shade, it's sticky. I tend to stick to one or two I know and love. 

I got this one from TKMaxx which was a good price (£20 and it came with two brushes) but it's original price is £30-£40. 

This foundation has a good coverage and it is very buildable. I love their concealer and I love their veil which is just a thin layer to give it a finished look. On me this foundation doesn't get caky or drys my skin. I always use moisturizer under my foundations and I believe it holds better and is better for my skin. My favorite is Embryolisse. If you want something that is more of a luxury and you are looking for something you definitely wanna use for a long time and love you should check out bare minerals if you haven't tried it.

MAC Collection

So I thought I would upload my MAC collection. I do not own a lot of MAC products but the ones that I own are my mainly used ones, and I think I have pretty nice collection. All the beauty essentials! (What else do you need? ;) )

 

1. MAC Face and Body foundation in C1 - C shades are  with yellow undertone however the undertone does not make you orange it makes your skin look like you have a little tan (however, don't forget to blend into your neck and your ears). Face and body doesn't have great coverage but the coverage can be build-able. The foundation leaves a dewy finish but it photographs beautifully even with the thinnest layer of foundation. (There would be a colour for EVERY skin colour.)

2. MAC Soft and Gentle highlighter - probably is the best highlighter I've even came across! Seriously it is so nice, It has gold finish but also have a hint of colour which is like brownish/pinkish. It could be worn with the whole shebang as well as on it's own. OHHHHH but it looks sooooo pretty on darker skin. (There are more bronzy colours as well as colours for lighter skin.)

3. MAC Black Track eyeliner - One of the strongest eyeliners  I have ever tried. And trust me I tried soooo many. I have really oily eyelids but this one stayed the longest on my eyes. When it sets, it sets for good. It also sets as mat, which I think it's always flattering.  (They also have more colour - browns can be for eyebrows if you mastered the art of drawing hairs.)

4. MAC Satin finish lipstick in Pink Nouveau - it's a satin finish, which mean it is a mat lipstick but it is very moisturizing. The colour is strong and stays pretty well (unless you are eating then you need to touch up.)  It is not for everyone but I like a bright lipstick and it brings out the blueness of my eyes as it has cold undertones. (Again toooons of colours and finishes.)
